ASEAN Scholarships for Cambodian Students

The ASEAN Scholarships for Cambodia is tenable for 4 years leading to the award of the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) (or equivalent) certificate.

The Scholarship is for studies in selected Singapore schools from Secondary Three to Pre-University Two and is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar.

Students from Cambodia who wish to enter Singapore schools at the Secondary Three Level are welcome to apply.

Scholarship Benefits            

  • Annual allowance of S$2,200 (Secondary) / S$2,400 (Pre-University) with hostel accommodation
  • Settling-in allowance of S$400 (once only)
  • Return economy class air passage
  • Coverage of school fees (excluding miscellaneous fees)
  • Coverage of GCE O-Level and A-Level examination fees (once only, if applicable)
  • Subsidised medical benefits and accident insurance cover

Eligibility

To be eligible for the ASEAN scholarships, you must…

  • be Nationals of Cambodia
  • be born between 2001 to 2003
  • have completed at least Grade 10 of Senior High School / Upper Secondary
  • have offered English as a subject in Grade 10
  • have done consistently well in your school examinations
  • proficient in English and a good record of participation in co-curricular activities

Guidelines

To apply for the ASIAN scholarships,  you must note the following:

  1. There are 2 modes of application – online or hardcopy application. Please submit your application through only one mode. For example, do not submit a hard copy application if you have already applied online. Apply online via the online application system here.
  2. Applicants who do not have internet access may obtain the hard copy forms from the Cambodia Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport:

  1. All applicants are required to submit copies of the following documents directly to Singapore Ministry of Education:
  • Birth Certificate
  • Identity Card / Passport (if any)
  • School Examination Result Slips for the last two years
